All TV and computer monitors have slight different VESA hole size. In other words, VESA is a set of standards for the manufacturing of flat screen televisions and PC monitors. Most manufacturers comply with this standard by adhering to an industry-wide “hole pattern” on the back of their displays for mounting purposes. A VESA hole pattern is measured in both horizontal and vertical distance between mounting holes. For example, VESA 100 x 100 means your TV mounting holes are 100 mm apart horizontally and 100 mm apart vertically.

How to measure your TV’s VESA size?

VESA can be measured by self. Only you need a measuring tape and notepad for this.

  1. Put your TV on the table, by putting its backside in front of you.
  2. Now, go to point A to B vertically and then measure the distance in “mm” with the help of measuring tape, and note it down on your notepad
  3. Now repeat the process “2”, for horizontal measurement
  4. That’s all. You may get the value from the most used VESA size:-
